February 14, 2018 @ 9:30 am - 2:00 pm
We have planned a field trip to Clip-N-Climb Vancouver on Wednesday, February 14th, 2018.
On this field trip students will be exploring different ways of achieving physical health bridged through different climbing and bouldering challenges for all students to enjoy while practicing safety and fun together. Indoor climbing is an excellent activity to help students work on problem solving skills and promotes team building work, which are important Leadership skills. As well, these skills are part of the core competencies introduced to the BC curriculum, which are intended for all students to develop in all grades prior to graduation.
We will be travelling to our destination by school bus.
On February 14th, we will be heading to the Clip-N-Climb Vancouver located at 120 – 1751 Savage Road, Richmond. We will depart from Vanguard Secondary on the day at 9:30am and return to Vanguard Secondary School at 2:00pm.
It is important that your child dress in appropriate attire for indoor rock climbing, comfortable or sport clothing similar to what would be appropriate for a PE class and running or athletic footwear.
**There is also an important additional waiver form attached here requested by Clip-N-Climb. This form is necessary for your child to attend and participate on this Leadership experience, it requires both student and parent information which must be completed correctly and signed.
We require your permission for your child to participate in this activity. Please complete the Field Trip – Parent Permission Form (on reverse side or attached) and return it to the school by Monday, February 12th, 2018. Any questions regarding this trip feel free to contact Giselle Trepanier via email, firstname.lastname@example.org or by phoning the school.
