ENROLLMENT INTO VANGUARD

Enrollment starts with your local catchment school (Vanguard only enrolls new Grade 8-11 students). Vanguard is a Type 3 Alternative School, that focuses on supporting students beyond the scope of traditional comprehensive secondary schools. We require all students (and their families) to involve their local school’s School Based Team, counsellors and administration in the enrolment process. 

As part of Vanguard’s local school support, transition planning and potential intake, all students (and their family) and their school support team are required to complete the following surveys prior to meeting with the Vanguard Intake Team. 

To begin the process, students must complete our survey by clicking STUDENT AND FAMILY ENROLL NOW LINK and a member of their school support team (usually the current School Based Team representative, school administrator or counsellor) must complete our SCHOOL BASED TEAM ENROLLMENT LINK. Both surveys are critical for ensuring a safe and effective transitional experience into our school. 

Upon completion of our survey, Kim, our clinician, will contact the student and family to arrange a preliminary interview and determine the next steps. 

PLEASE NOTE: ENROLLMENT INTO VANGUARD SECONDARY IS DONE QUATERLY (September, November, February and April).
